We’re pleased to share that Silver Assist Homecare has partnered with Mind in Brecon to deliver a Grief Workshop for our carers, clients, their families, and the wider community.

Grief is something we all experience at some point in our lives, but it can often feel isolating—especially for those who are also caring for others. Whether you're navigating personal loss, supporting someone else through theirs, or simply wish to better understand the grieving process, this workshop is designed to offer support, tools, and shared understanding.

The session will explore:

• Understanding the different stages and expressions of grief

• The emotional demands of care work and how to manage them

• Processing personal grief in a healthy way

• Supporting others who are grieving

In the UK, around 1 in 10 adults are affected by bereavement at any one time. Despite this, many people don’t feel confident talking about grief or know where to turn for support.

This workshop provides a safe and compassionate space to explore those feelings and learn practical ways to cope and help others.
