We learnt to ALWAYS…
Lock the back door before opening the front
Ask for proof of identity and check it carefully
Ask them to come back another day if you are unsure
Arrange appointments
Try to have someone with you
NEVER…
Believe all callers are genuine
Let anyone in if you are unsure
Believe scare stories or be pressured into a cash or quick sale
Keep cash in the house.
Always call 101 if you feel you or someone you know if at risk from scams.
